LeBron James is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is widely considered one of the greatest basketball players in NBA history. He is a four-time NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP) and a three-time NBA champion. He has been selected to 16 All-Star teams and has won four Olympic gold medals.
James was born on December 30, 1984 in Akron, Ohio. He attended St. Vincent–St. Mary High School, where he was highly touted in the national media as a future NBA superstar. He was selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the first overall pick in the 2003 NBA draft. In 2010, James left Cleveland to join the Miami Heat. He won two NBA championships with the Heat and was named MVP in both Finals series. In 2014, he returned to the Cavaliers and led them to their first NBA championship in 2016.
In 2018, James signed with the Lakers, where he helped lead the team to the 2020 NBA championship. He is one of the most popular athletes in the world, and is active on social media, with millions of followers. He is also a successful entrepreneur, owning his own production company, SpringHill Entertainment, and having a stake in Beats Electronics.
